Wednesday, August 22 - Rhoda Huffey reads

Tonight at 8 o’clock on Bibliocracy:  RHODA HUFFEY.  Her touching and smart novel about a young girl raised in a fundamentalist family, The Hallelujah Side, was a Barnes and Noble Discover Book. She has published fiction in Ploughshares, Tin House, Green Mountains Review, and Santa Monica Review. Rhoda is a graduate of the UC Irvine Creative Writing MFA.  She is a tap dancer and lives in Venice Beach, California.  Tonight Rhoda Huffey reads from her novel-in-progress, Didwell Country; a wickedly funny family dinner chapter with the Didwell parents, children and grandchildren titled “Rima.”  Thanks for listening on the radio, online or as a free download from the KPFK audio archives.  Thanks to Season Cole, audio engineer.
