Wednesday, May 2 - Novelist Greg Bills

Wednesday night at 8 PM on KPFK 90.7 FM in Southern CaliforniaGreg Bills.  Tonight I present another in a series of performances by local authors.  Greg Bills, who teaches creative writing at University of Redlands, is the author two novels, Consider this Home and Fearful SymmetryConsider This Home was lauded by playwright Tony Kushner as “a wonderful, exciting novel…fierce, smart, observant and at times very sexy.”  The book was also a Literary Guild alternate selection. His second novel, Fearful Symmetry, explores complicated emotional obsession, with erotic boundaries challenged, not to mention challenges to personal freedom itself.  Bills is a graduate of the MFA Creative Writing Program at UC Irvine.  His work has also appeared in Fairy Tale Review and in Santa Monica Review.  Tonight on Bibliocracy Greg Bills reads an excerpt from his novel Wait Here, a chapter titled “Naomi Steinman:  Not Even a Pronoun.”  Thanks for listening, and for supporting the literary arts on KPFK.  This program is available as a free download from the station’s website.
