Wednesday, March 7 Roy Zimmerman Pt II

Tonight at 8 on KPFK, the Bibliofella welcomes back singer-songwriter Roy Zimmerman.   Clever listeners who pledged during our recent Fund Drive (thanks!) will soon receive a copy of his latest CD, "You're Getting Sleepy."  Ironic, of course, because Zimmerman's smart, funny, insightful and word-smithy lyrics and singing are anything but soporific.  I love this guy!  His most excellent albums have kept me laughing (instead of only crying) through recent politics.  Think Tom Lehrer, Gilbert and Sullivan, and then add folk chords and it's Roy Zimmerman.  I hope you can tell I had fun meeting and talking with a favorite entertainer, and listening as he performed live in Studio C at Radio KPFK.  I wish there were a Part III.  For more on Roy, his "Hungry Ear" Tour of all 50 states, and to purchase his "Funny Songs about Ignorance, War and Greed" on CD:  http://www.royzimmerman.com/. Thanks for listening on the radio, online or as a download, free for 90 days at the station's audio archives.
